Why am I getting so many Twitter followers today?

I have received over 20 notifications today that all these random people are following me on Twitter. I don’t know any of them and I haven’t updated my tweet in 2 months, so it’s not like I have anything interesting on there. I know Twitter was hacked today. Is this a result of the hack? Anybody else getting tons of followers today?

How can I send text message tweets to twitter?
